Cookies and similar technologies
A cookie is a small value a website can ask your browser to store and return with later requests. Local storage keeps values in the browser for a site without automatically attaching them to each request. Session storage, browser caching and downloaded files work differently and should not be treated as interchangeable.
What the study-page code does
The supplied learning pages and script do not set cookies, write to localStorage or sessionStorage, or load advertising and audience-measurement scripts. Reading lessons, expanding self-checks and opening the mobile menu do not require a stored tracking identifier.
This describes the study-page code, not every possible hosting, security or separately supplied consent component. If the deployed site presents a consent notice, use that notice for the specific technologies, purposes, durations and preference controls it identifies. Optional tracking should not be enabled merely because you opened a page or continued reading.
| Feature | Behavior | Your control |
|---|---|---|
| Menu and self-checks | Current page state; no preference is written by the study script. | Close the menu, collapse the disclosure or reload. |
| Message preparation | Text held in page memory; no draft is submitted. | Edit, clear or leave the page. |
| Copy message | Writes prepared text to the device clipboard after activation. | Use browser permissions and device clipboard controls. |
| Download message | Creates a plain-text file selected through your browser’s download behavior. | Choose where to save it and delete it when no longer needed. |
| Browser cache | The browser may retain page assets according to browser and server behavior. | Clear cached files through browser settings. |
Managing your browser
You can inspect and delete site cookies and storage through your browser’s privacy settings or site-information panel. Browser wording differs. Blocking cookies does not prevent the supplied static lessons from being read. Disabling JavaScript prevents the message preparation tool and mobile menu toggle from operating; the underlying lesson content remains in the HTML.
Clearing site data does not necessarily delete downloaded files, clipboard history, sent email or hosting logs. Manage those separately. Browser extensions, form restoration and operating-system services may retain information independently of this site.
Questions and updates
If you see an unexpected cookie or network request, note its name, domain and the page where it appeared, then email [email protected] without including sensitive values. For broader information about requests and correspondence, read Learning and Data. This notice should be updated when the actual deployed storage practices change.
